So post kali nie pasal trip ak ker Palm Springs. Back to the past, baybeh... ^_^

Let me tells you a lil bit about Palm Springs. Palm Springs is located at Riverside City, California. The main attraction in Palm Springs is (Sila baca wiki.... LOL!!).. Long story short, trip kali nie melibatkan dua kereta.. Plan nya ialah pergi Palm Springs, naik aerial tramway or cable car, sightseeing at Mount Jacinto State Park then balik, singgah outlet... hehe... Here are the pics of Mount Jacinto State Park trip....

On the way to Palm Springs, akan ada ladang windmill.. agak cool la, cuma xsempat ambik gambo byk sgt psl dalam kereta...

Ak nie jenis altophobia ckit.... time naik tram tu agak goyang ckit la.. haha.. OTW to the top of Mount San Jacinto, tram tu akan lalu 4 towers. Everytime the tram pass by each towers, the tram will swings a bit.. goyang lorh....~~

Camtu lah trip nya kt sini. Overall, OK la for the first time. Bila da gelap tu baru lah kitorang balik.. And OTW balik tu, sempat la singgah Ontario Mills Outlet, tempat untuk bershopping.. and that was the first time I do shopping at an outlet... hehe... Agak menarik juga... :)

Weekend ni agak menarik bagi aku.. Semalam ak ada g trip, tapi trip tu akan ku cerita dlm post2 seterusnya.. Post kali nie just nk citer untuk ari nie sahaja.. back to present day.. haha..

Supposedly, my plan for today was just to get to COSTCO and buy some chocs for my fellow office mates. COSTCO is basically a warehouse mart that sells a wide variety of stuff ranging from electronics, furniture, foods and beverages, etc at a reasonable price. And mostly they sells these stuff in bulk. But only registered members or any persons who got their gift cards can do shopping at their warehouse. Yeah, it is quite similar to that wholesale mart called MACRO back in the old days. :)

Before ak sambung criter, ak sbanrnya g ngan Syafiq and Naqi. These dudes baru smpi Irvine dalam 3-4 minggu lepas and kena stay selama 6 bulan. So si Syafiq nie nak g register COSTCO membership, and ak pun tumpang sekaki la beli chocs guna card dia.. hehe..

Lepas dah beli chocs tu, ak ada satu lagi plan. Nak pergi beli sluar jeans carpenter mmber order kt TARGET, kedai macam AEON-BIG. Tapi ak lupa colour jeans apa yg mmber ak nak. End up ak just snap a few pics so that my friend can refer and decide on which colour that he wants. "Minggu depan datang lagi. Time tu baru ak beli..." kata ak kepada Syafiq and Naqi...

Then, g jejalan kejap dlm TARGET. Sampai kt Toys area jer, ak terus teringat nk beli souvenir untuk org. Jumpa la brg yg nk dibeli. Time nk pergi bayar tu, sangkut plak kt area LEGO... mula2 kitorang just borak2 jer psl LEGO. Masing2 xda niat pun nk angkat satu. Tapi bila sorang start bakar, last2 ketiga2 mamat tersebut teruih beli sorang satu.. facepalm... hahaha...

So enjoy la gambo2 kt bawah nie... lolz..

Back to the present day, ari ni ak nk wat post pasal makanan yang ak masak kt sini...
"yee haaaww!! let's makan, partner!!" - cowboy bugis

1. Sayur Goreng

Antara lauk terawal aku masak. Super simple ingredient - broccoli, eggs and Adabi's Sayur Goreng paste. Result? X berapa nak hadam sangat la... lolz

2. Mee Goreng Ruski

Mee Ruski. Very surprising. Lagi sedap dari Maggi or Sedaap. Rugi bawak stock ckit... 

3. Kurma' Ayam Adabi

Ok, this one is actually a can food. Ak x modify byk sgt, just bubuh sayur and peppers jer. And some carrots also. Bottom line, even with the additional veges, still not so good.

Not my fault.. (-_-)

4. Nasi Goreng Kampung Adabi

This was not the first time I cooked nasi goreng. But this was the first time I cooked nasi goreng using Adabi's instant. Not bad. I brought 4 packets but left with one now. Will make this one again before coming back to Malaysia.

5. Nasi Putih + Chicken Sausages + Egg + Waddehel'isdet?

Ok, lauk atas nasi tu ak lupa lauk apa. Nampak mcm ayam kicap. Tapi ak xpernah masak ayam kicap. Yang ni pelik... Hahaha.. Nie dikira lauk segera kalau ak malas nk masak..

6. Nasi putih + Sosej ayam + Teluq + Ayam masak Tom Yam Putih

Tom Yam Putih. Ak xpernah rasa before this. Xsure la ak ak masak betul ka x.. Overall, biasa2 jer..

7. Telur dadar + Kebab Ayam + Kebab Daging + Roti Pita + Roti + Sos Salsa and Tartar

Yang ni saja jer bikin gempak. Yang betul2 ak masak telur dadar jer. Yang len reheat dari leftover makan kt luar malam sebelumnya. 

8. Nasi Putih + Sardin + Telur Bawang

Simple, looks a bit gross yet quite appetizing. Saper x suka sardin yer x? lol

8. Mee Hoon Goreng Tom Yam Putih

Before masak lauk nie, ak ada try masak mee hoon tomyam (ada kuah), tapi xmenjadi. X sedap dan dibuang begitue sahaja. Then ak try buat nie, at least better than expected.

9. Nasi Putih + Kurma' Ayam + Telur Dadar 

Perasan x, mostly lauk ak makan, mesti ada teluq dadar.. haha.. Saja menambahkan lauk. Baru la variety ckit. Tapi Kurma' Ayam nie memang terbaik setakat nie. Xsesedap masakan ibu aku, tapi rank as no. 1 in my own cooked food list.  

10. Nasi Putih + Ayam Spices + Kentang Goreng + Sardin

Nothing special about this one. Cuma ada Ayam salut rempah tu jer la. Overall ok la siap ada kicap....~~~

 11. Kari Ayam

It was a disaster!!! Ak nie jenis suka makan bawang merah, so I thought if I put more onions in this dish, it should come up with a good taste. I was wrong. Nyesal tgok resepi internet. Dia kata blend/tumbuk sebiji bawang merah, ak pun blend la. Tapi ak lupa bawang merah sini 2-3 kali ganda lagi besar. End up the taste of the onion is much stronger then the curry powder itself. Too bad. Makan jer la. Still ada lagi lauk nie. Ak rasa 3 4 hari belum tentu abis.. hahah..

12. Garden Salad

Lauk nie baru try buat tadi. Ingredient - Lettuce, Baby carrot, Fries, Scramble Eggs and Thousands Island as the dressing. Just average.

13. White Mushroom Alfredo with Meat Chunk and Beef Sausages

I am not sure how to say about this one. At the beginning, all seems to be perfect. The sauce was nice, sausages and mushroom readied, spaghetti cooked well enough. At the moment the minced meat was added, everything drastically went wrong. Sauce nya dari warna putih, teruih jadi warna pinkish.... Pasai pa? pasai ak x rebus dulu daging hancur tu. Why it turned out to be pinkish? BLLOOODDDD'd...!! 

Bila pikir balik, rasa nk muntah pun ada.. Camna la aku boleh abiskan 2/3 dari portion yg aku masak nie... Maybe aku ni ada darah2 Cullen? Maybe........~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

14. White Mushroom Bolognese with Meat Chunk and Beef Sausages 

2nd time masak spaghetti. Ak belajar dari kesilapan.. kali ni ak rebus dulu daging, and then goreng lagi... kasi betul2 masak... geram punya pasal.. haha... end result kira boleh la... senang hadam gak laa....... kasi letak cheese lagi senang hadam laa.......

Ari nie kena bangun pagi2 pasal ada masa smpi tengahari jer nk round2, sightseeing at Lake Tahoe. Lepas da siap2 mandi apa semua, kitorang kluar g bfast.. Even Inn tu ada provide breakfast (cereals and biscuits) untuk guests, kitorang plan nk bfast kt Driftwood Cafe.... Before drive ke cafe tu, kena set GPS dulu supaya senang ckit nk cari... lepas tu follow ler direction dari GPS tu... agak jauh la rasanya dari Inn kitorang tu.. dalam 2-3 miles kot... dah la kena drive slow, disebabkan tyre chains tu... tp perjalanan tetap diteruskan... "Pecah Puasa", here we come...

And then, bila da nak smpi destination, kitorang start rasa pelik... Awat cm jauh sgt nie? kenapa cm kenal jer jalan nie? One of us immediately checked the GPS destination. Ghuper - ghupernya GPS tu set ke ROSS, tempat jual brg murah semalam.... zet zet zet....!!! So, kena set balik GPS tu ke Driftwood Cafe.... Tengok hala tuju kitorang macam ke Inn balik... and bila da betul2 smpi ke cafe tu, baru kitorang tau rupanya2 Cafe tu is just a walking distance away from our Inn.... Jahaneeemm...~~~ Then we parked our car, straigth went to the cafe... bila masuk jer cafe, ramai plak org bfast kt situ.... Back then we need to decide either to wait for our que, or eat elsewhere... discuss punya discuss, last2 kitorang decide untuk let go cafe tu and pergi makan. . . . . . . . . . . . . cereals kt Inn kitorang... (tu la memilih sangat....) Tapi boleh tahan sedap gak cereal dia.. free plak tu...  haha....

Then, tanpa buang masa, kitorang pack barang sumer, check out, and then gerak balik ke EMERALD BAY... hahha. Hopefully cubaan kali nie lagi baik dari semalam... Ak xsure pukul berapa waktu tu.. Maybe dalam pukol 9 lbey... we all guna track yang sama nak pergi Emerald Bay... so pasti akan jumpa corner durjana tu... haha.. Tapi Alhamdulillah, the sun shone brightly on that day.. xda mist.. xda fog... mmg clear.... "Draw distance to the max" bak kata gamers... boleh nampak gondola belakang Inn... and after we finally reached corner durjana, all of us managed to passed it easily today. but the road was still closed, so we cannot go further anymore, and we decided to just parked our cars at the shoulder of the road and took a hiked to the Emerald Bay Overlook.

Basically, kitorang xda smpi EMERALD BAY tu psl jalan nya ditutup.. Ak sampai dekat Overlook nya ajer.... tapi view dia mmg cantik... Kiri kanan overlook tu ada tasik... Memang worth it la lepak sini.. hehe.. Kitorang ada kt sini lebih kurang sejam lebih... Dalam kul 12:45PM, kitorang start gerak balik ke Lake Tahoe town... Ak nek kereta Dodge balik, and KK as the driver... Time taken to reach to Lake Tahoe town was about 30-40 minutes. Before we left Lake Tahoe, we stopped at 7E to buy snacks and drinks. Then we filled up the gas, "small business" and we were good to go.. 

The time was around 1PM and we took another route on the way back. If previously we took I-5 North freeway, which is much faster and easier to get to Lake Tahoe, this time we used Foothill Road.... This route is not a freeway, more like 'jalan kampung'. Along the way boleh nampak ladang2, haiwan ternakan and rumah2 kat sini jarak2.. Jalan pun x selebar laluan pertama ktorang guna.... Ak tak igt sgt apa yg berlaku waktu nie pasal ak da syok tdoq kt seat belakang... HEHEHEH!!!

Dalam pukul 5 petang baru ak tsedar, kitorang decided nak stop kat satu area.. tapi ak da lupa.. checked2 kt google maps tadi, ak boleh katakan yang kitorang stopped dekat Bishop. Jalan kt sini xda snow, tapi lagi bahaya.. Kenapa bahaya? Sebab jalan kt sini dilitupi ais.. so makin licin la... tap nasib baik ais nya xbyk.. stll boleh kawal lagi, tapi kalau silap skit boleh pusing kereta bai...~~~ Then smpi satu town nie, kitorang singgah makan malam kat kedai Italian.. ( xingat nama kedai ).. Time tu aku order Salmon... Seafood is the safest choice of foods over here.. :D

Da setel makan, turn ak plak jadi driver untuk CRUZE.... kasi Zainal relax... lama da dia drive... haha... sepanjang ak drive tu, ada la 3-4 town ak tumpang lalu.. hehe.. mostly, town nyer kecik jer.. mcm Bangi Sek 9 ke Sek 7... then xidup sgt psl da malam... tapi sbnarnya baru kul 8-9 cmtu.... waktu nie yg dlm convoy hanya CRUZE and DODGE.. MAZDA da ilang entah ke mana.... and yg lead the convoy is the DODGE.. so ak just follow jer la dworang... And then dalam kol 10 lbey tu, DODGE da tercari gas station psl da nk abis minyak.. cari 2 3 kali baru jumpa station yang boleh pump.. time dworang pump gas tu, Zainal takeover balik kereta dia, and ak move back to the DODGE car. Macam mana ak ngantuk tulih blog nie, cam tu la ak mengantuk masa tu.... (sebab tu ending post nie nmpk rushing ckit..) After that, ak teruih terlelap.... Sedar2 jer da nk smpi Candlewood Santa Ana da.. haha... Yang ak ingt ak smpai kt Candlewood Sand Canyon dalam kol 1 lbey.. haha.. so perjalanan balik tu mengambil masa sebanyak 12 jam.... Sampai jer hotel, ak teruih naik ke bilik, packing2 jap, mandi ckit... And then terjun atas katil terus... 

"It is time to sleep.. a proper sleep... ". 

Kesimpulannya? Penat memang penat, duit mmg byk guna... but the experience you gained from the trip is worth a thousand more than what you spent..

dah kenapa....? whatever, akhirnya abis gak post untuk Lake Tahoe trip nie... Trip yang giga-awesome and cowabonga....!!!
